the vase with a qianlong six-character seal mark, both 18th/19th century
The vase with a squat globular body rising to a tall cylindrical neck, the rich yellow glass carved with two cartouches enclosing flowering branches issuing from rockwork, 8 in. (21.6 cm.) high; the bowl of a more golden yellow, carved at the inside and the outside with lotus petals, rim chip restored, 6 in. (15.7 cm.) diam. (2)

X-ray analysis of the body of the bottle vase has shown that the colour of the glass is due to vanadium.
