Lot Essay

This is a reference to the fairy tale Saru kurage ni noru [The Ride of the Monkey on the Jellyfish] in which Otohime, the daughter of the Dragon King, becomes ill and is prescribed a monkey's liver by the Kings doctor, the octopus, in order to recover.
