Of karashishi, both carved in marubori and each with a base similar to that of a Chinese seal, many of which were used in Japan as netsuke, the first is finely and vigorously carved with a seated karashishi, with one front paw on a pierced ball attached by a ring to a cord, Asakusa School; the second of a karashishi with two young playing around a ball, signed Masamitsu
