Ashinaga [Long legs] and Tenaga [Long arms] are mythical fishermen from the imaginary island of Ashinagajima and Tenagajima. They are known to fish mainly in deep waters where Ashinaga would stand with his extremely long legs, whilst Tenaga perched on his back and plunged his long arms in the water to catch the fish.
