A SET OF FOUR VENETIAN BLUE-PAINTED AND PARCEL-GILT ARMCHAIRS
Three mid-18th Century, one of later date
Each with a cartouche-shaped padded back and waved seat with squab-cushion covered in cream-coloured silk and velvet fringing, the toprail centred by a cartouche within a foliate spray and the conforming seat on cabriole legs headed by a foliate spray and terminating in a scroll, the decoration refreshed and with traces of original decoration beneath, One chair with two old paper labels inscribed, '691' and '17' (4)
