etching, 1852, on fine pale blue laid paper, fourth state (of eight), with the artist's initials and before the scraping out of the heads and arms of the workmen, a very fine impression, sections of the buildings and the clouds luminous against the dark-toned shadows of the buildings and the sky, with margins, pale discoloration in the margins, glue-staining verso in the upper and left margins (showing through recto), laid in the margins verso, lesser defects
