Provenance
(Probably) commissioned by Johannes Henckel von Donnersmarck (1481-1539). Henckel von Donnersmarck was born at Lentschau in 1481 and died at Breslau in 1539. A doctor of jurisprudence and priest in Kaschau, in 1522 he was appointed Court Chaplain to King Louis II of Hungary and from 1526-30 to the Dowager Queen Maria (according to a letter written by Mr. Victor Franco de Beaux to the present owner, dated 9 March 1993).
