The case of typical form with pineapple finial to concave moulded top surmounting the drum-head with gilt-metal foliate cast handles to the sides, concave sides centred by an Apollo sunburst gilt-metal mount above the break-arch base on later gilt-metal bracket feet, the circular white enamel Roman and Arabic dial signed Leroux Charing-Cross with pierced blued steel hands, the twin fusee movement with anchor escapment and strike on bell, strike/silent lever on the plain backplate signed J:Leroux Charing-Cross
