The ebonised moulded base with green velvet platform for the ormolu rectangular clock frame supported on foliate mounts and surmounted by a central cartouche, the bevelled glass front with painted Roman chapters and counter-balanced pierced blued steel hands eccentrically pivoted in the rear glass with the drive from the going barrel movement in the base with platform escapement, the plates stampled A Cadot Brevet SGDG No. 984
