A SMALL FAMILLE ROSE CANTON ENAMEL FLATTENED MOON FLASK
second quarter of the 18th century
Delicately enamelled on one side with a gnarled prunus trunk, entwined with large red-flowering camelia twigs and bamboo, the profusely flowering branches of the prunus tree descending over the shoulder onto the other side with a pair of birds perched on it, all on a bright yellow ground, within raised lappet bands around the foot and shoulder, the cylindrical neck and shoulder applied with two pierced cloud-struts, the surface pitted and somewhat worn, small repairs to rim
