FIRST EDITION, first issue, with fascinating if, at first sight, non-sensical attempts to prove Bacon was Shakespeare. The proofs take the form of apparent accrostics, aligned letters, all neatly highlighted in various coloured inks by a ?19th-century owner. Gibson 13; STC 1147.
