The makers have kindly confirmed that the gun was completed in 1889 for a Mr. Grey
It is ironic that this archaic action should have been regarded by its inventor as 'The Gun of the Future' but it is, nevertheless, a great testament to the inventiveness of British nineteenth-century gunmakers
