N.p., 1910-1915. French Manuscript. 43 leaves, in black ink. 8vo, original orange paper wrappers. Together 4 volumes, in black half morocco folding case. Vassichikov was the daughter of the Director of Hermitage and was lady-in-waiting to Grand Duchess Paul and afterwards to Grand Duchess Serge (sister of the Tsarina Alexandra). She left Russia in 1905 for Austria where she spent the next ten years. Returning to St. Petersburg in 1815 to appeal to Nicholas II for peace and was there placed under house arrest.
