A Chamberlain's Worcester crested Yeo service plate
painted with the crest within a ribbon inscribed TRIA.JUNCTA.IN.UNO between branches above the Prince of Wales motto, suspending the Garter Star within a Japan pattern border, printed crown and script mark, circa 1815 (minor chip to footrim) -- 22.2cm diam.

Lot Essay

This service was ordered by Admiral Sir Lucas Yeo in about 1815. He died on his return journey from Jamaica before the service was delivered, the family refused to accept delivery, and a legal action ensued, resulting in the family being compelled to accept and pay for the service.
