Lot Essay

The arms are those of Sawbridge-Erle-Drax with Erle-Drax-Grosvenor in pretence, with the crests of Sawbridge and Drax.

The service from which the above lot is taken was made fro John Samuel Wanley Sawbridge-Erle-Drax f Olantigh Towers, Kent, Holnest House, Dorset and Ellerton Abbey, Yorkshire. In 1827 he married Jane Francis, daughter of Richard Erle-Drax-Grosvenor of Charborough Park, Dorset.
