Two gilt metal mounted Meissen models of pugs
modelled by J. J. Kaendler, both seated, facing left and right, the bitch suckling her pup, with black muzzels and fine black, grey and tan hair, with pink and gilt collars, the dog's with a turquoise bow, on mound bases applied wiht leaves and flowers, the oval mounts with a frieze of interlinked circles, supported by gardooned bun feet, the porcelain circa 1745, the mounts probably circa 1800 (the tails both broken and restored, some other damages and restoration) -- 20.4cm. high
