SPANISH COLONIAL LOCK PLATES AND LATCHES
Two hand forged iron lock plates, circa 18th century, decorated with delicate filigreed file work, were originally attatched to Spanish colonial treasure chests; together with a group of Spanish colonial latches, depicting different animal motifs in the metal work, a beautiful tradition used by advanced metal workers in the Spanish colonies.
