With concave base, of globular form, with rounded sides tapering into the neck, thick walls, finely painted over a cream white slip in deep red and black, with two large scalloped rosette medallions, flanking broad bands of large and small scale "rain bird" spirals, bisected by narrow bands of running birds, a pair of stripes on the rounded shoulders, surmounted by a neck band of confronted "daggers", alternating with diamonds enclosed by elaborate scrolling motifs, hatched and cross-hatched elements throughout
