A late 18th-Century vernier octant signed Cameron, Dundee
constructed in ebony, ivory and brass, the inlaid ivory scale divided on Ramsden's engine 2½°- 0°- 100°, vernier clamp and fine tangent screw adjustment, two pin hole sights (one with double hole and slide), complete with three mirrors and interchangable set of three shades, three pin feet and ivory note square to back, the radius -- 12in. (30.5cm.)
