A well detailed and presented model of a New Bedford Whaleboat of circa 1860
built by A. Payne with mast, sail and rigging, the fully framed clinker built hull with bottom boards, thwarts, five oars, rowlocks, harpoons, rope tubs, marker flags, steering oar, lashed up rudder, samson post, knives and other details, finished in white, black and natural wood and mounted on two turned wood columns on a baize covered display case. Measurements overall -- 8.5/8 x 31½ in. (22 x 80cm.)
