A German armorial bowl from a goblet
the hazagonal flared bowl engraved and polished with a coat-of-arms with lion supporters below a banner initialled E.L.L.Z.H, the reverse with a further coat-of-arms with griffin supporters below a banner inscribed Louis Forneau De Chapelle, below a band of grotesque masks, flowers and scrolling foliage, the cut lower section engraved with swags of fruit and flowers, circa 1720 (rim chips) -- 17cm. high
