An early 17th century, tentatively ascribed Wessex area lion sejant spoon
with a broad tapering stem and gilt terminal, scratched on the back of the bowl "H.E R.B 1690" and stamped once with a stylised anchor mark within a pelleted circle, probably Salisbury area, first half of 17th century - 17.25cm long, 1.25oz.
