Lot Essay

The lining inscribed on the back in ink, "Vest bought from John Hutton Merchant, Cupar which I wore in presence of King William the Fourth & other distinguished personages at Eaton College, on 30th day of July 1832. the day on which the examination of the Students took place. John Inglis". The two inside pockets also inscribed "No. 1 Gold" and "No. 2 Gold".
