A late 18th century mug
with a tucked-in circular pedestal base, tapering bowl, overting tip and a ribbed s-scroll handle, initialled and inscribed on one side "Dn de P.V.G pr.pr.M.P 1776" above script initials "E.P.H", by an unascribed maker, (IL struck twice underneath*) Jersey, circa 1776 - 8.75cm high, 4.5oz.
