of elongated form, raised on three cast hoof feet with a leaf capped scroll handle and a shaped flange rim, chased with fruit and foliate scrolls, the lip chased inside with a shell and hatching, initialled "D.D.M" on the side, by Edward Lothian, (assay master's mark of Archibald Ure), Edinburgh 1737 - 19.25cm long, 7oz.
