Portrait of the Ashby Family of Isleworth and Bromley

The sitters are John Ashby, his wife Ann, nee Sheppard, and their children Sarah (b.1773), John (b.1774), Mary (b.1775) and Ann (b.1777) of Holme Court. John Ashby, a dyer and calico printer, was owner of the calico mill at Worton Bridge, Isleworth. Ann Ashby was to later marry Robert Lewis.
