decorated in high relief with a ho-o in flight amongst scrolling foliage -- 9½in. (24.2cm) wide; another inset to the cover with Kannon in mother-of-pearl and ivory on a gold lacquer panel -- 7½in. (19cm) wide; a Chinese hardwood carving of an emaciated lohan -- 10½in. (26.7cm) high; and a lobed rectangular red lacquer panel carved with a lady in a garden -- 10in. (25.4cm) high, 19th/20th Centuries. (4)
