A silver Shibayama style hexagonal bottle vase
with flaring neck and short foot, pierced and applied in coloured enamels with flowers and scrolling foliage, the body applied in high relief with lobed gold lacquer panels inset in mother-of-pearl, ivory and horn with various birds, fish and butterflies amongst flowers and blossoming branches -- 15.3/8in. (39.1cm) high, incised signature to base, 19th Century, (minor losses).
