A Shibayama tusk vase
inlaid in stained ivory, mother of pearl, antler, horn and hardstones with a bird seated on a jardiniere set on rockwork in a flowering garden, the reverse with a cockerel and hen seated on a perch shaped as a torii, another below, all in a garden of wisteria and blossoming trees -- 15¾in. (40cms) high, silver mount to foot, 19th century, (some inlay missing), wood stand.
