carved to one side with panels of leisurely scenes including scholars, attendants, ladies and boys in rocky river landscapes, all within further border panels depicting the animals of the zodiac, the reverse carved with lines of calligraphy -- 10in. (25.5cm.) high, 19th Century, (minor old wear).
