A Minton jardinière
the lobed baluster body moulded in high relief with foxgloves and ferns on a dimpled dark-blue ground, the foot moulded with a band of convolvulus, with a shaped reeded rim and leaf-moulded scroll handles, impressed mark, year cypher for 1862 (a flowerhead chipped and cracks issuing from hole in base) -- 37cm. high
