in the Meissen style, of oval section, painted with harbour scenes and figures by rivers, within scroll-moulded cartouches, the interior covers with couples in landscape, wiht hinged gilt-metal mounts, late 19th century (two small chips to the rim of one cover) -- 6.5cm. wide
