One-page typed letter in French signed ("C. de Gaulle") to Miss Helen Hall at 19, Holly Road, Chiswick, London W.4., 4°, from St. Stephen's House, Victoria Embankment, Westminster, London S.W.1, Abbey 1384, 16 July 1940, framed and glazed.

De Gaulle expresses his warm thanks for Hall's letter of encouragement and states: "I have taken note of your offer of service and should the case arise, I will not forget to call upon your assistance" (paper discoloration, clean tears to folds, some staining along tears not affecting text).

With two 78 rpm records of De Gaulle's 1941 Christmas Speech; a postcard of De Gaulle's 18 June 1940 Appeal to the French Nation; and a work pass for Miss Hall while working for the French Liberation Forces in London. (5)
