LORD PALMERSTON, HENRY JOHN TEMPLE 3RD VISCOUNT (1784-1865)
Five autograph letters signed ("Yours faithfully Palmerston") to James Sharp Esq (Solicitor), together 8 1/2 pages, 8°, two from Broadlands, two from 94 Piccadilly and one other, between 11 July 1862 and 11 October 1865 (browning).

Palmerston corresponds with Sharp on various issues such as "a claim I think by a man of the name of Perkins" (11 July 1862); advice on whether certain requests or societies are suitable to become involved with; and the "Purchase of Dibden and the Sale of Sec" where annoyed at a delay in proceedings he complains,"Mr Tylee seems to delight in incurring difficulties and in making arrangements as little agreeable as possible" (19 October 1862).

With 12 franked, addressed envelopes to James Sharp at Portland Terrace and Cumberland Place, Southampton, signed ("Palmerston") in the bottom left hand corners and a Viscount Palmerston business card.
