A compressed globular koro
with moulded mask ring handles, painted and gilt with boats before retreats in a pine strewn river landscape and bird in flight above chrysanthemums and irises -- 2½in. (6.3cm.) high, signed Satsuma; and a globular jar with short everted neck, decorated with a continuous scene of pavilions in a rocky landscape -- 3¼in. (8.3cm.) high, signed Hakuzan, (the former with a broken cover and some gilt rubbing, the later with a crack to the neck).
