painted and gilt to the cover with two ladies and a child at leisure on a flowerstrewn riverbank, all within a keyfret border, the sides in green reserved in gilt with scattered flowerheads and a band of scrolling foliage, the interior with numerous fish including carp, crabs, stingrays and octopus -- 4in. (10.2cm.) diam, signed Matsumoto Hozan, (cover broken and restuck, interior rim of base chipped).
