with short neck, painted and gilt with a prunus tree beside chrysanthemums and daisies issuing from behind a brushwood fence, the neck with geometric and floral designs -- 4½in. (11.5cm.) high, signed Meigyoku; and a further Imperial vase with Daikoku and Ebisu seated before a table and chrysanthemums issuing from behind an awning, all on a dark blue ground -- 3¾in. (9.5cm.) high, signed Satsuma sei Meigyoku.
