A baluster vase
with widely flaring neck, slightly spreading foot and moulded dragon handles, painted and gilt with shaped panels of rocky tree strewn landscapes containing rakan, officials, ladies and warriors, all on grounds of dense geometric designs -- 9in. (23cm.) high, signed Dai Nihon-koku Satsuma Gingetsu zo, (one handle repaired, slight rubbing).
