A shaped bowl with foliate rim
painted and gilt to the interior with a pagoda and shrine surrounded by trees in a mountainous river landscape, the exterior with shaped panels depicting a torii before a shrine and further views of shrines in river landscape scenes, all on a ground of cranes in flight, below a band of chevrons to the rim -- 8¾in. (22.2cm.) wide, signed Satsuma, (minor gilt rubbing).
