A 3-inch (7.6cm.) diameter terrestrial globe, made up of twelve printed and delicately coloured paper gores and two polar calottes, the oceans clearly marked with major currents and steamship routes, the continents marked with major rivers and railway lines, and coloured yellow, pink and green, national and state boundaries marked in red (some surface abrasion and discolouration), with steel meridian half circle (unengraved) mounted on baluster turned ebonised wood column and plinth -- 8½in. (21.6cm.) high
