The drum case with eagle finial between a breakfront pediment surmounted with recumbent lions, with pierced ribbon tied foliage below, on twin herm uprights with outset stylised Corinthian stop-fluted columns above the rouge griotte marble plinth inset with a frieze of cavorting cherubs, the white enamel dial with Roman chapters and inside calendar ring and outer second sweep, with pierced gilt hands, the twin barrel movement with countwheel strike on bell, re-gilt, lacking pendulum and key
