Applied with gilt metal mounts, with a breche violette marble top and three quarter-pierced gallery, fitted with three drawers below, the fall front enclosing a fitted interior with short drawers, pigeon holes and a pull-out black leather-lined writing surface, the central frieze drawer flanked to one side by three drawers and to the other by a drawer and a deep drawer simulated as two drawers, on block feet, restorations, possibly German
