A French mahogany and amboyna bonheur du jour
Applied with gilt-metal mounts, the superstructure with a breche violette marble top and pierced gallery, fitted with a pair of doors inlaid with mother-of-pearl depicting flowering branches and flanked by pierced brass grille doors, between fluted column supports, the frieze drawer with a fall front enclosing a baize lined writing surface flanked by rounded angles, on stop-fluted bulbous legs joined by shaped stretchers, on turned tapering legs with gilt sabots, stamped A. Damon et Cre. 1881.
