A large Chinese tapering cylindrical vase and domed cover
with lion-head and loose-ring handles, the finial elborately carved with travellers on horseback and on foot crossing a bridge and on steps below a shrine and pavillion among pine in a rocky landscape, the neck with two rectangular panels with similar scenes between inscription cartouches and a continuous band of numerous figures in buildings, on terraces and in boats among lotus, pine, plantain, wisteria and prunus in a mountainous river landscape, on a ground of flowersprays and borders of bats among peaches and further lotus -- 22.in (55.9cm) high, Circa 1800, (small chip).
