A pair of Chinese bronze models of caparisoned elephants
carrying flaring vases on their backs with mask and loose-ring handles decorated with scrolling motifs, the saddle cloths decorated with scrolling lotus and the details of the trappings inlaid in turquoise, coral and glass beads, the heads turned to one side with trunks raised, on pierced rectangular bases -- 17¾.in (45cm) high, 18th Century, (some inlay missing, old wear).
