A large late Ming bronze model of a seated Bodhisattva
in relaxed posture, the right hand resting on one knee, the left in dhyana mudra resting on a stand to the side, holding two lotus sprays, the hair worn in a topknot, wearing an elaborate crown, earings, beaded necklaces, body ornaments and celestial scarf, the edges of the robes decorated with scrolling lotus, on a double lotus petal base within beaded borders -- 25¼in. (64.2cm.) high, early 17th Century, (rubbed, small finger to right hand missing).
