A Ming lacquered and gilt slate rectangular table screen
carved with The Eight Immortals and attendants, holding various attributes beside a censer, standing on cloud-scrolls above rockwork, below a deer on a pine tree beside Shoulao and crane and Guanyin on the back of a phoenix in flight among clouds and a mountain, the reverse with a poem and cyclical date, set within a lacquered wood frame -- 18¼.in (46.4cm) high, dated Wanli 40th Year (1613) mark and of the period, (restored crack to top).
