A famille rose silver shaped tureen annd cover
with foliate handles and finial, painted and gilt with scenes of ladies at leisure in the fenced garden of a pavilion beside two hounds, one lady carrying a vase of flowers, the other standing beside pierced rockwork, on grounds of scattered flowersprays and scrolling foliage -- 14½in. (36.8cms) wide, 18th century, (gilt rubbing).
