A Chinese broad pear shaped bottle vase
with slightly flaring neck and short foot, painted in underglaze copper red with a band of scrolling peony flowers and leaves, all above a band of stylised lappets and entwined foliage to the foot, the neck with further bands of foliage, key-fret and elongated leaves -- 12½in. (31.7cm.) high, Yuan/early Ming Dynasty, (glaze burnt, neck reduced and some fritting).
