A French silvered and gilt-brass and limoges enamel mounted striking and repeating carriage clock with alarm

The case with beaded and spiral-twist silvered mounts to the angles and cornices, with Limoges enamel side panels, the dark crimson backgrounds painted in grey and pale pink tones with loosely draped young women standing on tip-toes beside gilt-heightened bushes, one smelling a flower and the other holding a net for catching butterflies, with silvered and engine-turned mask to the gilt Roman dial, blued hands, with conforming alarm dial below, the twin barrel movement with silvered platform to the cut bimetallic balance with lever escapement, with strike/repeat/alarm on gong to the backplate numbered 557
